An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate or Senior Associate to join a highly respected Health Commercial & Regulatory team within a leading law firm. This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of health procurement and commercial matters for clients in the public and independent healthcare sectors. 

You will gain significant client exposure and responsibility, working closely with NHS bodies, independent healthcare providers, and health tech organisations.  

About the Team 

The Health Commercial & Regulatory team is a nationally-recognised leader in healthcare law.  

With a strong culture of collaboration, respect, and transparency, the team advises NHS Trusts, Integrated Care Boards, private healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies on a wide range of contractual, procurement, governance, regulatory, and public law matters. 

About the Role 

You can expect to be:  

  • Advising public and independent sector health clients on procurement matters under the Procurement Act 2023 and the Provider Selection Regime 

  • Drafting and advising on procurement documentation 

  • Advising on challenges to procurement processes, working with the dispute resolution team on litigated matters 

  • Drafting contractual terms and conditions, including framework agreements, call-off terms, licensing arrangements, and data protection documentation 

  • Working on innovative contracting models, such as joint ventures, alliance agreements, and collaboration arrangements 

  • Supporting commercial and regulatory work across a broad range of healthcare matters 

  • Assisting with business development strategies and representing the firm at client meetings and networking events 

  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships 

This role is part of a growing team with a national presence, offering excellent career progression opportunities within a supportive environment. 

The position also provides the opportunity for occasional travel and participation in business development initiatives. 

What We’re Looking For 

  • A UK qualified solicitor with a strong academic background 

  • Experience in commercial, procurement, technology, data protection, and/or regulatory law (healthcare sector experience is desirable but not essential) 

  • Enthusiasm for business development and building client relationships 

  • Positive, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and explore new areas of law
