The Opportunity 

We are seeking a seasoned Insurance Disputes Solicitor with at least 9 years’ PQE to join a prestigious Professional Negligence team based in Manchester. This role offers the chance to engage in high-calibre professional indemnity work within a dynamic and supportive environment. 

The Role 

As a Principal Associate, you will: 

  • Focus on Professional Indemnity: Predominantly represent construction professionals and their insurers, including contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants. 

  • Manage Diverse Disputes: Handle cases ranging from lower-value claims related to domestic and commercial projects to complex, multi-million-pound, multi-party litigated disputes. 

  • Broaden Your Expertise: Have opportunities to work on claims involving other professionals such as solicitors, barristers, accountants, insurance brokers, and surveyors. 

  • Serve a National Client Base: Work with clients across the UK, with referrals coming from insurer nominations and direct engagements. 

About You 

The ideal candidate will possess: 

  • Extensive Litigation Experience: A solid background in professional indemnity litigation with up-to-date knowledge of pre-action protocols and litigation procedures. 

  • Insurance Market Insight: Experience advising insurers and professionals on construction disputes is highly desirable. 

  • Academic Excellence: Strong academic credentials underpinning your legal expertise. 

  • Marketing Enthusiasm: A proactive attitude towards business development and client engagement.
