Planning Lawyer NQ - 5 PQE, Leeds or Newcastle Upon Tyne

PLANNING LAWYER NQ - 5 PQE

LEEDS OR NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE

COMPETITIVE SALARY & BENEFITS PACKAGE

Haggerty Jaques is delighted to be assisting this full-service commercial law firm with the recruitment of a Planning lawyer into its Leeds or Newcastle Upon Tyne office.

The Role

The team offers a broad service to its clients, covering contentious and non-contentious Planning law matters. This includes advising on s.106 agreements, highways and public rights of way, planning strategy, Community Infrastructure Levy and BNG, as well as planning enforcement, CPO, and Land Tribunal work.

There is a fantastic client base of housebuilders, local authorities, retail operators, private and charitable estates, and health trusts.

The Team

The Planning team is well structured, with lawyers from junior to senior level, town planners, and planning technicians.

You will be joining a firm that is renowned for being friendly and inclusive and that has made some significant hires across its business over the last few years.

The Ideal Candidate

The team is open to an NQ/junior lawyer joining without prior specialist Planning experience where the candidate can demonstrate a genuine desire to forge a career in Planning law. A background in a complementary area of the law such as Real Estate would be beneficial. There is excellent training and continued support on offer.

It is envisaged that candidates with more post-qualified experience will have spent time within a Planning team, either in a public sector or law firm setting.

This presents an outstanding opportunity to work within a friendly, supportive team where there are opportunities for career development.

For more information and a confidential discussion about this role, please call  Haggerty Jaques – Katie Haggerty and Amy Jaques – on 07740 662995 or 07974 131939.
