Regulatory Lawyer 5+ PQE
Yorkshire or Midlands (with Hybrid Working)
Competitive Salary & Benefits Package
A fantastic opportunity for a lawyer experienced in Regulatory and Business Crime to join one of the largest teams in the country.
The Opportunity
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Regulatory and Business Crime lawyer to enjoy a truly broad range of client instructions spanning everything from HSE, Environment Agency and OFSTED investigations to sports regulatory work and prosecutions by the CQC. There is a good mix of contentious legal defence work as well as non-contentious advisory work, including delivering client training sessions, podcasts and webinars. Great use is made of technology so you will have access to some great resources.
The national team – one of the biggest in the country – is renowned for working on major multi-agency prosecutions and you can expect to be working on some significant matters. Junior support is already in place to assist you on matters and there will be an element of supervisory responsibility.
This is a great role for a lawyer who thrives on working on a dynamic mix of matters and enjoys having autonomy.
You could be based from one of the firm’s offices in Yorkshire or the Midlands but will naturally spend some of your week travelling to client sites in this hands-on role.
There is an extremely strong pipeline of work so the need for business development is not as critical here as it is in most other firms, allowing you to focus much more on the work itself.
The Ideal Candidate
We would love to hear from you if you are either already a practising Business Crime and Regulatory lawyer or are an experienced criminal defence lawyer with a genuine desire to move into Regulatory law and work with corporate clients.
If you have experience of working with insured clients then that would be very helpful but is not essential.
