Excellent Salary & Benefits Package
Looking for more than just bigger deals?
If you’re an experienced Corporate Solicitor looking for outstanding quality work without sacrificing culture, this could be exactly the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
Our client is one of the UK’s most highly regarded commercial law firms, with an outstanding reputation built on consistently delivering exceptional legal advice while genuinely investing in its people. This is a firm that doesn’t simply talk about collaboration, wellbeing and flexibility – it lives those values every day.
Joining a well-established Corporate team in Manchester, you’ll work alongside approachable, high-calibre lawyers who enjoy what they do and genuinely enjoy working together. It’s an environment where ambitious people are encouraged to thrive, but never at the expense of teamwork or balance.
The work
You’ll advise on a broad mix of corporate matters including:
- Mergers & acquisitions
- Corporate finance
- Private equity and venture capital
- Fundraising
- Shareholder agreements
- Joint ventures
- General corporate advisory work
The client base is equally varied, ranging from innovative start-ups and founder-led businesses through to established corporates, investors, management teams and institutions. Many matters have an international dimension, providing exposure to sophisticated and often cross-border transactions.
You’ll take ownership of transactions from day one, supported by experienced partners who are invested in your development rather than looking over your shoulder.
A team where you’ll genuinely make an impact
This is an opportunity to become an integral part of a close-knit Manchester team while benefiting from the resources and expertise of a substantial national corporate practice.
You’ll have the autonomy to build trusted client relationships, supervise and mentor junior lawyers and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the team. Business development is encouraged, but naturally and authentically—through relationships, collaboration and delivering excellent client service.
A culture that actually delivers
Many firms promise a supportive culture. Fewer genuinely deliver it.
This firm has built a reputation for combining exceptional legal work with a refreshingly down-to-earth environment. Colleagues are approachable, collaborative and generous with their time, creating an atmosphere where people enjoy coming to work.
There is a real commitment to flexibility, inclusion, wellbeing and career development, backed up by meaningful investment rather than marketing slogans. It’s a place where high performance and genuine camaraderie comfortably coexist—for both colleagues and clients.
Why Manchester?

For lawyers who enjoy varied transactional work without feeling like one small cog in a huge machine, Manchester offers an exceptional platform to build a career.
About you
You’ll likely have:
- Around 4+ years’ PQE in Corporate
- Strong experience advising on M&A transactions
- Experience gained within a national, international or well-regarded regional firm
- Confidence managing transactions with appropriate senior support
- Excellent drafting and client relationship skills
- A collaborative approach and an interest in mentoring junior lawyers
