A leading national law firm is looking to grow its commercial practice with the appointment of an experienced Senior or Principal Associate into its modern Birmingham office.

The Role
This role sits within a well-regarded Commercial team with a broad range of work spanning commercial contracts, high-value supply and procurement arrangements, outsourcing, IT agreements, agency and distribution arrangements, IP licensing and data protection matters.
The work is focused on private sector clients – across a variety of industries – so experience in and enthusiasm for this type of client base is key.
You’ll have plenty of opportunity to get involved in strategic projects, business development, and leadership activities (including team supervision), and you’ll be encouraged to shape the role.
Who We’re Looking For
Ideally, you’ll be 8+ PQE and operating at Principal Associate level already – but we’re also open to hearing from strong Senior Associates with at least 6 years’ experience or if you’ve spent some time in-house and are looking to return to private practice, we’d love to hear from you too – particularly if you haven’t been out of private practice for long.

- Strong technical experience across a broad commercial portfolio
- A background advising private sector clients
- A commercial mindset and clear client focus
- An interest in getting involved in client relationship building and wider team activities
- Ambition to progress to partnership in the near future
